KaynaşlıFound on the Istanbul-Ankara road, Kaynaşlı is situated at the point where the Bolu Mountain and Düzce lowlands combine. Kaynaşlı is a place that many people nick name ‘the hazelnut depot’. The production of hazelnuts is said to reach an average of 50 tons per year. In the woodland areas, you can see deer, roe, fox, wild boar, bears, jackals and squirrels.
Just 16km from Düzce and 5km from the motorway, this dry lake is a favourite for those fond of nature sports. There are many forestry walks and various areas where you can sit and enjoy a picnic in the fresh air. Visitors can also enjoy climbing in the Topuk, Kütüklü and Sakarca high lands whilst at the same time enjoying the peace and quiet.
