Şıra Cappadocia, a family-owned business, is situated at the slope of Uçhisar which is the highest point in Cappadocia. Due to its position that makes it possible for you to see all Cappadocia, you can view sunrise and sunset from the hotel.
Reservation
Run by Yankı and Özkıran families who have blended their 20-year experience as tourist guides with their passion for tourism, the hotel is the outcome of a restoration project. Of 12 rooms, 6 are made of Cappadocian stone while the remaining six are cave rooms. Şıra has distinct and awe-inspiring hotel concept with seminars on wine which are held by the hotel managers accompanied with wine degustation sessions in addition to its rich wine cellars and cooking courses.

Nevşehir combines history and nature and is home to many beautiful towns. These towns display the rich culture of the many civilizations that have lived in the area throughout history, making this city an unrivalled tourism paradise.
Besides cultural tourism, you can also enjoy a variety of activities such as mountain and nature walks, biking, camping and caravanning, nature treks on horseback, paragliding, hot air balloon tours and jeep safaris. Before leaving Nevşehir, visitors should see the churches which are carved into the rocks and the Byzantine wall paintings as well as visiting the Hacıbektaş museum, which exhibits examples of Turkish and Islamic art. Visitors should also pay a visit to the Damat Ibrahim Paşa mosque and the Hittite Citable.
There are many souvenirs available in Nevşehir such as pottery, copper and onyx decorations and leather crafts.
You can even visit the clay workshops and create your own unique piece of art to take home. Don’t forget to try the fabulous local wines before you leave which are also great gifts, due to the interestingly designed bottles they are presented in.
CAPPADOCIA
Chimney Rocks: A supernatural view, carved by the erosion of the soft layers, which were created by the lava and tuff fenced out through Erciyes Hasandağı Mountain, 60 million years ago, by rain and wind for millions of years. And Cappadocia, with its breathtaking valleys, rock-churches built in the name of the religion and still enduring as their own lively days, and the residential areas carved under ground - sometimes eight layers down - in order to be protected from wars. And all you shall do is to enjoy those beauties and watch the sunset in the valley…
UÇHİSAR
Uçhisar village, 7 km. away from Nevşehir, is famous for its churches, monasteries and countless rock-houses carved in the highest hill of the region. When you climb to this hill, named "Kale", you can have a wonderful view of the valley, through Avanos. The valleys like Akvadi, Güvercinlik, Aktepe, Kızılçukur, Üzengi River can all be watched in bird's-eye-view. Many rooms in the castle are connected to each other via the tunnels and corridors. There are crossbar rocks, used as safety doors, just like the ones in underground cities in some rooms.
