Fethiye province, hosting antique Telmessos city, is located on the southern part of Fethiye Bay and on the southern west of Fethiye Prairie. Fethiye, having a peerless beach named Ölüdeniz (Dead Sea) is one of the most important tourism centers in Turkey. It also has many places suitable for diving, such as Af Kule. Countless caves in the region are open for visit. Paragliding facilities are also available thanks to its natural structure. Kelebekler valley and Kabak bay are the untouched places. It is possible to visit 12 Islands by the daily yacht tours. Some of the famous beaches around Fethiye, other than Ölüdeniz are: Belcekız (Belceğiz), Çalış Beach, İztuzu Beach (Dalyan). It is also serving as a destination for cultural tourism due to the city ruins derived from antiquity. Some of the antique cities around Fethiye are: Telmessos, Kaunos, Kadyanda, Tlos, Pınara, Letoon, and Xanthos.
Ölüdeniz
Ölüdeniz isn’t only turquoise waters and beautiful beaches; it also has many hidden places of natural beauty and offers a variety of activities. As you walk along Kumburnu beach, the embroidery of the blues and greens in the sea is amazing, and as the waves crash against the shore on one side of the bay, the waters on the other side are perfectly still.
In addition to the entertainment and nightlife found in Ölüdeniz, you can also visit Hisarönü, which is just 4km away and has a variety of bars and discos to suit everyone, ensuring you will enjoy an unforgettable holiday.
