URFA BALIKLIGÖL

"City of Prophets" …. The belief that the Prophet Abraham, who is recognized by Jews, Christians and Muslims, lived in Urfa made the city sacred for these three religions. Every year, thousands of foreign and Turkish tourists visit the cave where the Prophet Abraham was born, Halil-ür Rahman and Aynzeliha Lakes that were formed when Abraham was thrown into fire and fell down and the surrounding sacred places. The places that attract lots of visitors in Urfa are Balıklıgöl, the two lakes that are known as the places which Abraham fell into when being thrown into fire, sacred fishes and the surrounding historic monuments
