And it has 12 rooms in its bungalow style houses. Each room has a bathroom, television, central heating system, telephone, fridge and 24 hours hot water. If requested, special dishes can be prepared for the guests in addition to breakfasts where local tastes are offered. You can have a nice family time in front of the fireplace located in the common use area. As you can do tracking surrounded by the natural beauty of Sinekli Plateau, Samandıra Plateau, Samandıra Waterfall, İkizler Plateau, Gövem Plateau, only 10-30 minutes away from the pension, you can also pick the famous mushrooms, blackberries, bush grapes, hawthorns and wild pears of Bolu. Pension manager Cavit Özcan has undertaken to relate the beauties of Bolu four seasons and accordingly, both takes photographs of all natural phenomena in the region and guides the guests to help them see those phenomena for themselves. Another characteristic of the pension is that organic food cultivated and prepared in the village is sold along with souvenirs. That means you will be able to share with your friends the organic flavors you have tasted in the pension.

BOLUWith 60% of the land covered in forestry areas, Bolu is a place which comes at the top of the list of Turkeys green paradises. Besides various places which are open to visitors all year round such as Abant and Yedigöller, Bolu is also famous for its chefs and the wonderful cuisine they prepare. The history of chefs who are trained from Mengen goes way back to the times of the Padışah (Kings). These days Mengeli master chefs are known not only in Turkey but in many other places. The Mengen chef’s festival which is held each year is shown great importance as it adds to the culture and tourism of the area. In the villages here you will find an oven made from earth or brick in the garden of almost every house. The taste of the pastries and meals which are cooked above the flames in these ovens is truly unique.
Some mouth watering favourites are; Yayla soup, Stuffed vine leaves, Meat stew, Savoury pastries and Baklava. As well as these there are also many culinary delights which are particular to the area such as Mudurnus Palace Helva which is a kind of dry dessert which has also become recognised all over the world. From a geological point Bolu is set up over the most important fault lines in Turkey and for this reason is home to many geothermal and thermal water springs. Some of the most important of these springs are; Bolu, Babas, Serot, Pavlu, Kesenözü and Çatak. Bolu is also home to the most beautiful forests in Turkey which are also some of the rarest in the world, with various tree types such as Oak, Pine, Beech and Fir. Whether it be for their height or age the many monumental trees are tremendous.
